​​​Welcome to the Burford Optimist site.    We are a group of committed Burford residents who volunteer our time and talents to make Burford a great place for our children and youth.  

For the past 49 years we have been supporting the Burford community through donations to children and youth organizations, Splash pad, playground, Easter egg and Breakfast with Santa and organize youth baseball. 

The Burford Optimist is part of Optimist  International.  Optimist International is recognized worldwide as the premier volunteer organization that values all children and helps them to develop to their full potential.

 As part of that commitment and with the opening of the new Burford Skate Park, we are pleased to offer assistance to local families in financial need by providing essential scooter or skateboard gear for their children and teens.
